Choose How to Register

To register to vote before the election you can register in person or by mail. Same day registration is also available at your polling place.

Register in Person

To register to vote in person, you will need: your town clerk’s contact information, proof of identity and/or age, profile of domicile, proof of citizenship, pen, and mask. Contact your town clerk to make an appointment and then bring all the registration information previously mentioned.

Register By Mail

You will need to have the following materials to register to vote by mail: your town clerk’s contact information, a printer, a pen, a signed witness affidavit, a copy of your proof of identity, a copy of proof of domicile, a stamp and an envelope. Once you have gathered these materials, call your town clerk and request an “Absentee Registration Packet. Complete this packet and send it back as soon as possible. Voter registration should be received before October 21, 2020.  Your clerk might have other deadlines so it is always good to check with them first

Register to Vote on Election Day

It is recommended that you register to vote before Election Day by mail or in person. However, you can register to vote the same day of the election.  To register to vote on the same day as the election you will need to know: your polling place’s location, and bring with you the following items: proof of identity and/or age, proof of domicile, proof of citizenship and a mask.
